Zola Electric utilizes a solar-powered lighting and charging system to bring electricity to parts of Tanzania not connected to the power grid. Zola tasked Enlisted with designing the Hub, a wall-mounted battery pack and control panel to power this microgrid.

Integrating into the environment.

The Hub is designed to keep a low profile on the wall. Drawing on the textures and materials in the communities it serves, a subtle weave pattern breaks up the product’s large surface area.

Agency, not aid.

Once they’ve leased the Hub, users can then monetize their Zola micro-grid; adding a TV to their cafe, starting a barber shop, or recouping money from neighbors to charge their cell phones.
